PHP installed all the plumbing and heating in our stable conversion/new build in Wheathampstead, including two bathrooms, a cloakroom and the central heating system. Since then they have done lots of small jobs for us, such as mending leaky pipes and dripping taps. PHP provides a first class service."

"When I came here about eight years ago, Jared was already working for Beales. I have always found him courteous and most reliable. He is generally a nice guy all round.
As plumbing has got more complex and technical, he has kept up by going on courses and updating his skills. Our problems here can range from changing tap washers to major leaks. We have just had a new hotel built costing £5.5 million pounds, but most of the work Jared does for us is at the West Lodge Park, a four-star country house hotel with 59 bedrooms. We had a pipe snap, and boiling water cascading through the ceiling into the dining room early one morning, and he was there to sort it quickly and with minimum fuss. He really knows his stuff.
Jared is always very willing and if he says he will be here, he turns up in record time, and with enough equipment and supplies in his van to get over the problem. He is always reliable, even if we have to call him out in the middle of the night - his response time is excellent. I've yet to have a plumbing problem he is unable to solve. I can talk to him on the phone at any time and he is happy to explain what he thinks the problem is. He looks professional, and is professional.
This is a highly competitive business, and I have plenty of good plumbing services to choose from, but I am more than happy to stick with PHP."

"There are lots of nice things I can say!
I discovered Jared's company, PHP about six years ago, and since then they have done a vast range of jobs for me, from fixing leaks to much bigger jobs such as changing the whole water system at St Michael's Manor, which meant we had to shut the hotel for two weeks. Jared worked alongside the contractor. We changed from a very poor, mains-fed system with drippy showers and little power, to a sealed, pressurised system, with large storage containers in the basement. You can imagine the demand created by 30 power showers all on at once as guests get up in the morning!
Jared has a terrific knowledge of the building, a sixteenth century manor house, and all its many nooks and crannies. He is very good value compared to other plumbers, he is prepared to work weekends and he is very reliable. Reliability is the most important quality for me, and getting the job done quickly.
Jared has a good team now, and they have also done a lot of work for me at home, installing a gas boiler. My home is a turn of the century Victorian terraced house, and it needed a lot of work doing.
Jared and his brothers have an integrity you don't often see in the building trade these days. When they send me a quote, I never bother looking elsewhere.
At St Michael's, old pipe work often needs replacing; there are fractures and breakages, but Jared also deals with more general issues, heating problems, radiators not working properly, and dodgy shower valves.
We have 80% occupancy of our 30 rooms, and we frequently need Jared's services - it's almost a full time job! He thinks on his feet, and you can trust what he says. Nothing is ever a problem, and he always fixes it with no fuss. I will definitely keep using him without a doubt."

At the time we were having great difficulty finding a corgi registered plumber who was available do the work, someone suggested Jared. We have always been very pleased with the work he has undertaken; we expect a high level of service and Jared has always delivered.
Over this time he has done extensive work for us, which includes relocating and installing a new central heating boiler, regular servicing and most recently completely refurbishing a bathroom all with great efficiency and minimal intrusion into our lives.

One winter, the radiators down one side of the house were just not working. I had plumbers in twice to fix the problem, but they made little difference. I contacted Jared, with very low expectations based on my previous experience of plumbers, and he told me the system needed a power flush to get rid of all the silt and muck that had built up. I told him the previous plumber had already done that just weeks before - but Jared was so sure he was right, he said, well if it doesn't solve the problem, I won't charge you a penny! And of course, it worked, as he knew it would.
The next time I needed Jared's help was a serious emergency. Just before Christmas during a bitterly cold spell my boiler packed in and the house was freezing. I called Jared, who was really snowed under with work, and somehow he managed to come over and install a new boiler, working ridiculous hours to get me out of trouble! I can't speak highly enough of Jared - he's just a good man! I will never forget how he put himself out for me when he was already impossibly busy, it was so good of him. And he worked really hard. I was more than happy to pay the bill! The point is, he has done it the right way, going through a proper apprenticeship, so he really knows his stuff.
When I had a problem with a leaky shower, he came over and identified the problem straight away - he really knows what he is talking about, knows what's wrong and puts it right, leaving everything nice and tidy - with no holes in the wall like the previous plumbers!
If I have a problem with plumbing again, I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I can just leave him the keys, and feel totally safe. He's that good, and totally trustworthy - you don't get many like that.
